Shalom Kulam! (Hello everyone!)  I am so incredibly excited to be the Tiferet Rosh Eidah (unit head) this summer! I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in History and certificates in Educational Policy Studies and Global Cultures. After the summer I will be moving from Madison to Washington, D.C., where I will be participating in Avodah: The Jewish Service Corps. This will be my 12^th summer at camp and my 6^th on staff. I was a camper in Tiferet for two years, and have been on staff in Tiferet as a counselor, songleader, and s’ganit (assistant unit head) for the past four years.

This summer is going to be wonderful! I am so excited about the many Tiferet activities camp has in store for all the chanichim (campers). In addition to studio, Tiferet chanichim will get to partake in all camp events, chugim (electives), swimming, and more. Tiferet Aleph chanichim will get to plan and act in Mesibah, the all-camp talent show, and Tiferet Bet chanichim will get to put on a large final show for other chanichim and for their families!

I love how small and close Tiferet is. With only 4 cabins, Tiferet chanichim can truly become a family. Chanichim can get to know each other and staff on a personal level, learning from each other, and discovering what makes each person unique and special. I am always amazed at the incredible talent each Tiferet camper brings. I am so excited to visit each studio and watch as the Tiferet chanichim grow and develop as artists, and as young Jews. The way art and Judaism are infused in Tiferet is truly unique and distinctive to Tiferet, and it is an amazing way for chanichim to express and foster their Jewish identities.

The only thing camp is missing now are the chanichim! It is going to be an incredible summer and I can’t wait for it to start!
