We are thrilled to announce Max Weinberg will be joining the OSRUI staff as Assistant Director on September 1^st.  Max will be working with Jerry and Susan on camper recruitment, staff recruitment, outreach to congregations and social media.

Max currently serves as Avodah Rosh Eidah, a position he has held for two summers.  This is Max’s 5^th summer on staff; previously he was a counselor and songleader in Kallah, Gesher, and Tzofim.

A graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Max has a degree in Elementary Education, and currently holds a Teacher’s License in both Indiana and Illinois.  This past year he completed his student teaching requirements in the Chicago Public Schools.  A member of North Shore Congregation Israel in Glencoe, IL, Max has worked numerous congregational retreats at OSRUI as well as the Father/Son Kallah.

Max cares deeply about camp and is so excited to begin working full time at OSRUI, where he has learned so much over the past five years.

In other staff news, Barbara Gordon, OSRUI’s part-time Program Coordinator, joined the staff full-time on July 1st.  Barbara will continue her responsibilities coordinating all weekend kallot and OSRUI special programs.  A former camper parent and current staff parent, Barbara has been part of OSRUI’s year-round staff since 2005.  We look forward to having her with us full time.
