IMG_0925When we woke up this morning, we prepared ourselves for a very wet day.  We grabbed our rain gear and trekked our way through camp getting ready for it to rain all day long.

However, as soon as we opened the gate to greet our campers, the rain stopped and out came the sun!  As we greeted each camper and family, we bathed in the shine of the sun and the warmth and excitement in each and every person!  We watched campers bolt into the arms of their counselors; old friends re-uniting and new friendships forming; it was truly exciting.

We’d like to take a moment to thank our FABULOUS staff for their hard work today.  They rolled with the punches as we battled the weather and many different plans to make sure that every camper was dry and safe.  A huge shout-out to Avodah Corps for their amazing work in delivering luggage!

IMG_1207One more thank you – to each of the families who dropped their kids off at camp or at the buses, and traveled through heavy rain to make sure their child got to camp.  Thank you so much for your flexibility…you helped make it an amazing day!

Stay tuned to our blog for updates all week…we can’t wait for this to be the best summer yet!
