Shabbat Shalom from OSRUI

After a week of trips, marathon week, Carnival, zoos, hiking, climbing, biking, canoeing, water balloon fights, etgar (the challenge course), limudim (Jewish learning), ivrit (Hebrew), t’filot (services), pools, lakes, water slides, horses, and so much more, Shabbat is here, a sacred and beloved time at camp. Before we get clean and we put on our Friday night best one last time, before we join together in prayer, before we tune our guitar strings and warm up our voices, before we prepare to rest, we take a look back at the incredible 8th and final week of Summer 2017.

It was an amazing week at OSRUI, starting with Oconomostock, the all-camp talent show hosted by Tzofim, and including programs in Chalutzim and Moshavah about the Israel National Trail, the first ever Gesher climbing trip, Tiferet’s trip to the sculpture garden, mitzvah projects let by Kallah, and a taste of home for Tour La’Agam.

OSRUI Announces Next Camp Director

OSRUI Announces Next Camp Director

Jerry Kaye announced 8 months ago that he was stepping down as director at the end of this summer. Since then, the leadership and friends of our OSRUI community have worked with purposefulness and passion to select the next director of our Camp in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Solly Kane has been named the next OSRUI director, starting in September.
