Father & Son Kallah

October 6-8, 2017

Join us for Shabbat, sports and fun, special time for you and your son, grandson or nephew, all at Camp! Escape the hustle and bustle of work, school, and family obligations while you and your son enjoy time together. This weekend is for fathers, grandfathers, and uncles and the boys they love age 5 to 12. OSRUI's Senior Assistant Director Albert Marks will serve as your guide while you sample all that the camp has to offer ... including indoor climbing, various indoor and outdoor sports activities, and lots more.

If you'd like to know more about the program, download a schedule from the 2014 Father & Son Kallah. It'll give you an idea of how the program is structured, although the activities will be revised for 2016.

Check-in will begin at 5 pm Friday, and the weekend will end about 11:30 am on Sunday.

For more information or to be added to our email list, please contact Barbara Gordon at 847-239-6984 or bgordon@urj.org.

This program is underwritten in part through a generous grant from the Daniel M. Soref Charitable Trust.

2017 tuition will be the same as in 2016: $375 includes meals from Shabbat dinner through Sunday breakfast, lodging for two nights, and all in-camp programming for a family of two or three. $95 for each additional family member. Accommodations are provided in the Soref Center, the Lodge and the Bayit.

How to Register
Registration opens summer 2017. Online registration is available above by clicking on the registration button. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the program is filled. The registration form gives you the option of paying via credit card with Visa or MasterCard, or finalizing your registration by mailing a check made payable to OSRUI to: Father & Son Kallah / OSRUI, 1121 Lake Cook Road, Suite D, Deerfield IL 60015.

When you are filling out the registration form, if you do not see the "submit" button at the bottom, please try again with a different browser or device. You will receive a confirmation message via email. Check your junk or spam folder if you do not get a confirmation email promptly.

Accommodations are provided in the Schaalman Lodge, the Daniel M. Soref Education and Alumni Center and the Bayit. All three buildings feature rooms with two twin beds and private baths -- a few Bayit rooms share baths with an adjoining room. The fee includes housing, meals, and all programming.

This event takes place at URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute, the regional camp of the Union for Reform Judaism in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, located between Milwaukee and Madison. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to camp. Driving directions are in the Quick Links in the upper right of this page. The nearest airport is Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Mitchell Field). For transit from the Milwaukee Airport to camp, we recommend GO Riteway which offers van service to the camp at a discounted rate from the Milwaukee Airport (Mitchell Field). If you are booking for more than one person, call 800-236-5450 for reservations with a group discount. The camp is also a 2-hour drive from O’Hare Airport in Chicago.

There is a $75 cancellation fee. All cancellations must be made in writing. We regret we cannot give refunds for cancellations less than three days (72 hours) in advance of the program.
