by Itai Hacham, Chalutzim Rosh Eidah

I am is ecstatic to return to Oconomowoc for my 4th summer at OSRUI, this time as the Rosh Eidah of Chalutzim. I originally heard about camp while living in Chicago during the year between finishing high school and joining the army. It sounded like an exciting new adventure, so I headed north for the summer to explore the Jerusalem of the Midwest (and found this Jerusalem has slushies!).

Then I served in the Israeli Defense Forces for 3 years of infantry service as a soldier and commander. This fall, after having finished the army and traveling in South America, I plan to begin studying International Relations at Hebrew University in the Jerusalem of the Mideast. OSRUI has always been a great place to be, and as when I first heard about camp, is giving me a meaningful and enjoyable experience as my life transitions. I am MORE than excited to be leading Chalutzim this summer!!
