Last night Kallah and Tzofim had a great time dancing to the latest music provided by A-Z Entertainment. The campers did not know what their evening program was and came running into Port Hall with screams of joy as the music blasted out the doors. These campers really know how to dance! Check Bunk1 for some great photos!

The dancing and energy have really been revved up this year because of Zumba. Zumba is an aerobic dance/exercise that is taught by Ossie Berman, a member of our sports staff. Both campers and staff love this part of the day. I am addicted as well. It is so much fun and Ossie is an amazing instructor.

As I walked slowly around camp yesterday (maybe a little too much Zumba for me), I couldn’t help but notice the Ivrit lessons that were taking place. Campers were sitting on the grass with their counselors and a member of our Hebrew staff, learning vocabulary and how to better express themselves in our language. If this keeps up, there will be a very large Chalutzim in the near future. “Ivrit, Ivrit, Ivrit deber Ivrit.” Don’t forget to practice some Hebrew with your children when they return home.

Speaking of Chalutzim (in Hebrew of course), they are doing so well with the language. They are diligently trying to speak only Hebrew, all day. They are such a great group. I had tzrif Eilat to my house the other night for “game night.” The boys were playing cards, Scrabble and Monopoly and ate lots and lots and lots of snacks. It was great fun! Did I mention the snacks?

Gesher is doing great things with their limud. I spent the morning with them and saw very engaged kids. They are working and playing hard and getting ready for their first trip.

The fun at the pool and lakefront never stops and campers are really enjoying the beautiful weather and all the swimming, skiing and boating.  All in all, we are having lots of fun and learning at summer camp, and still – NO MOSQUTIOES!! How great is that!
