Hey There!

butz
In case you haven’t heard yet, Tzofim Bet is AMAZING! Last week we said farewell to our chanichim (campers) in Tzofim Aleph and welcomed in 66 new chanichim  to the ‘Butz for Tzofim Bet. On opening day, it was so great to see some old and some new faces join the downstairs. Friendships were created immediately and everyone was welcomed with open arms into the OSRUI family. After settling in, we have learned all the tzofim cheers, competed in a mini Judaica bowl, lead our own creative services, and even learned about teamwork by working on the low ropes course Whether it is playing with our animals, becoming the iron chefs of downstairs, or playing baseball on the hill, we can’t stop dancing and singing about the amazing time we are having. One of our favorite things to do in tzofim is to sing silly songs! During staff week, the madrichim learned a brand new silly song from OSRUI’s Mishlachat (Israelis) and they could not wait to teach it to the chanichim in Tzofim Bet. It was so fun that I couldn’t help but share the video below, so you can learn it too!

We have had a wonderful 8 days at camp, enjoying all of the activities, but TODAY is a very special day because we are hitting the road and heading to the Milwaukee Zoo! In Tzofim, we take pride in taking care of our own animals and will take this trip to learn about a variety of animals and more about what it takes to care for them! With four hours of exploring time, the chanichim can’t wait to see it all!
