Shalom Everyone!

It has been a busy week here at OSRUI as we are getting ready for our chanichim (campers) to arrive! We are so excited to meet them and start our fantastic 7 weeks together. One of the things we have been working hard on is preparing our Ivrit (Hebrew) classes. We are hard at work writing lesson plans, and coming up with fun and creative ways to teach. Our classrooms are ready, lesson plans have been prepared, and now we just need the chanichim to arrive!

Even though the main focus of Chalutzim is speaking Ivrit, we are spending a lot of time this week working to ensure that every chanich is safe and happy at camp. We have spent time with our safety staff at camp, and we have had discussions about how to handle and prevent unwanted social behaviors.

What else have we been up to, you might ask? Today with much excitement and enthusiasm we found out which tzrifim (cabins) we will be living in, and which chanichim we will have! (The chanichim find out which tzrif they are in after arriving at camp!) We are spending most of today preparing to welcome the chanichim on Monday.

We are looking forward to seeing you here at OSRUI in just 4 days!

Lehitraot!
Hila
