Memorial Day weekend marks the start of summer for us, as that’s when Jerry and Susan (Director Jerry Kaye and
Associate Director Susan Alexander) move up to camp. These next few weeks are very busy for all of us as we prepare to welcome your children to camp. This week our OSRUI songleaders are joined by those from other URJ camps to learn from some of the finest Jewish music innovators and composers at Hava Nashira Songleading Workshop. Next week is training for our Rashai Eidot (unit heads) and the week of June 13th is a week of intensive training for all our staff. We will all be ready and waiting to greet our campers on opening day!!

Camper parents will receive an email this week with lots of important information:

. Last minute news and reminders, including writing your children at camp, packing tips, etc.

. Health & Safety

. Emailing your camper and seeing photos through Bunk1.com

. OSRUI Electronics Policy

This information is available on the Parents’ Page of our website.

Have you checked out the new OSRUI Parents Facebook Group?? We sent an email announcing that last week, and it has been very successful. Parents are connecting and exchanging information. Join the conversation!

If you have questions about anything, please contact us. Jerry and Susan can be reached at camp in Oconomowoc. JoAnn Sandoval (our Business Manager) and I can be reached throughout the summer in the Northbrook office.

Thanks for sharing your children with us. We can’t wait!!
