By Emily Schwartz, Tiferet Unit Head

I am so excited to return to camp as Tiferet Rosh Eidah, I could sing about it (and probably will, all the time)!  This will be my 12th summer up at Olin-Sang. On staff, I spent 2 summers as a songleader and madricha in Tzofim, took a quick break to songlead at Greene Family Camp, then came back to OSRUI as a music specialist. As a specialist, I discovered how much I love Tiferet, and can’t wait to work in this unique and creative environment again.

I graduated from The George Washington University in 2009 where I majored in International Affairs, Judaic Studies, and Middle Eastern Studies. I then spent a year living and volunteering in Israel on the Otzma fellowship under the Jewish Federations. Last October, I moved to Chicago and worked for The Community Foundation for Jewish Education (CFJE). At the end of the summer, I will begin my new job as Youth Director at BJBE in Deerfield.
