by Daniel Shore, Kallah Rosh Eidah

I’m excited to fill you in on what we’ve been up to in Kallah Bet.   The unit is having a great time. Last night was cabin night, with the boys cabins doing everything from making music in a drum circle to capture the flag, while the girls ran the gamut from a boat ride to spa night.

Our cohesive bond is the interactive, yet educational programming on the American Jewish Experience. With the help of our faculty Rabbi Eric Siroka (of Temple Beth-El in South Bend, IN) and Rabbi Batsheva Appel (of KAMII in Chicago, IL) we’ve already “gone through Ellis Island” and will now begin seeing what it takes to start a community in a new land.

We’ve got lots of great things to look forward to in the rest of the session and can’t wait to keep you posted!
