Kibbutz HaTzofim Bet already feels like a kibbutz, a tight-knit community that works together. On Monday we learned our ohelim (tents), and found out who our madrichim (counselors) and the other chanichim (campers) are. Each ohel (tent) played games, ate lunch together, and got to know each other. We headed down to Tzofim and started unpacking and getting a feel for tent life. Tzofim enjoyed a great aruchat erev (dinner) of baked potatoes and chili on the first night.

Everyone was settled into the routine on Tuesday, which was our first full day of camp activities. We enjoyed sports, chugim (electives) like drama, sailing, and art, and went to the pool for the first time! We ended our first full day of camp with a really fun evening program and everyone went to bed happy.

Today is our second full day of camp, and everyone is still having a fantastic time and there are smiles all around in Tzofim! We are looking forward to Shabbat on Friday, when we will join the entire camp for a Shabbat meal and Shabbat Shira. It is sure to be a great week in Tzofim, with lots of sun and fun for everyone!
