Shalom everyone!

We are now entering the second half of the summer for Chalutzim, and I have to say that I cannot believe how fast the time goes by!  Chalutzim is becoming a wonderful community, where the chanichim and madrichim are growing, learning, and working together.  And, of course, the chanichim’s Hebrew has been getting better, too.  By the time Yom Horim is here you will be amazed at their knowledge of Hebrew!

We had a great week, starting with Rick Recht’s concert, where Chalutzim made their own version of Matisyahu’s song One Day, so instead of saying “one day,” Chalutzim sang: Yom echad! Yom echad! Yom echaaaad!!  Today we are having a great time with the all-camp activity – the Maccabiah! The chanichim of Chalutzim have a major role in this day … they are the Ruach Leaders and they are helping the madrichim with all the activities.  And finally, we are working very hard to prepare for Yom Horim, which is this Sunday.  We are all very excited to see everyone … it will definitely be a great day!
