I’m sure you have had a busy week: school is in full-swing, we’ve had a late spurt of summer weather and of course we are between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

It has also been a busy week for all of us at the camp office. Registration opened on Monday morning and over 450 campers signed up for Summer 2012 at OSRUI in the first 60 hours! We are very excited to see that so many campers and families have already registered for next summer. To celebrate, we will be sending each of them an OSRUI 60th anniversary t-shirt!

Remember, we have gone to a brand new online registration system this year and are now accepting credit cards! Many parents shared with us this week how much easier the new system is for them to use and how well it worked. If you have questions about online registration, feel free to call the camp office, we are always happy to help.

In addition to registration, our fall recruitment visits are underway! One of us will be at your congregation soon to show the new camp video and answer any questions you have. This Sunday, I’ll be at Am Shalom and Jerry will be at Beth Tikvah. Wear your OSRUI shirt or sweatshirt and come say hi to us! We will, of course, have free slushy cards for next summer!

Finally, from all of us at the camp office, we hope that this time of repentance on the Jewish calendar has been one of meaning for you as we celebrate the New Year, 5772, OSRUI’s 60th year!
