It’s been an amazing week so far in Kibbutz HaTzofim! We have settled into the routine of camp, and have all enjoyed the many activities that camp has to offer! We’ve had swim groups go waterskiing, tubing, pontooning, and enjoying the pool. Most of our tents have already climbed etgar (the alpine tower) or been on the flying squirrel. We have tie dyed on the hill and proudly worn our creations for “Tie Dye Tuesday,” and learned lots of new Hebrew words!

Our first Shabbat was a really special time for Tzofim, and the chanichim (campers) really enjoyed the dinner on Friday night, the Kabbalat Shabbat service and Shabbat Shira, and the sleep-in on Saturday morning followed by a delicious breakfast of chocolate milk and donuts! It was a beautiful day to have a swim at the lake and a lot of menucha (rest time). On Saturday night, we were joined by a group who are also called Tzofim! The Israeli Scouts came to camp to sing and teach us about Israel, and Kibbutz HaTzofim had so much fun dancing and singing with our visitors and all of camp.

The madrichim (counselors) and chanichim (campers) are all looking forward to the next week in Tzofim! It is sure to be a great week, with more great evening programs, lots of great meals, our second Shabbat, and more time doing all of the amazing, fun things that OSRUI has to offer!
