Kallah Gimmel is full of ruach (spirit) after an AMAZING first week!

Leading up to the weekend we’ve been focusing on some of our Middot (values) that the puppets have been teaching us. On Wednesday we made a brit (contract) of important rules for our tzrifim (cabins). Thursday was a challenge to collect rocks that the evil L’shon Hara (evil tongue) had thrown all over camp. The lesson was that we can never gather all of our words once we say them, and that it’s important to be careful what we say.

By the end of the week, we were ready for Shabbat prep with Challah making and getting ready for Shabbat Shira. Face Paint on Friday was next, and then we had the chance to spend time with Dan Nichols in the afternoon. He shared some great songs with us and the anticipation for Saturday’s concert began to build.

At the 60th anniversary celebration concert Kallah was lucky enough to have front row seats!!! It was an awesome night.

Sunday was Yom Disney (Disney Day) which included a Pirates of the Carribean pool party and cookie decorating in the evening.

The coming week is full of more fun and camp activities, starting with Erev Tzrif (cabin night) tomorrow and our summer festival Festikayitz on Thursday!!

Update you again soon,

Shore
