This is the home stretch for Chalutzim as we have one week left in beautiful Oconomowoc, WI.

Lots of great things have been happening this week including the Chalutzim Judaica Bowl team winning its second Bowl this year.  Everyone answered lots of questions and one camper told me that it made his summer to finally make it on the Judaica Bowl team.

60 Years of Ruach was a great concert that featured Dan Nichols. Everyone had a blast singing, dancing, and enjoying the music.  Before the concert we even had a cookout with everyone from Mosh and Tiferet that really brought camp together.

Rain finally came to OSRUI this week so we thought what a great opportunity to do a slip and slide down Bayit Hill.  Everyone had a blast and we took lots of pictures so everyone can see.

All of our cabins just participated in FestiKayitz, which is a festival about celebrating Israeli music throughout the decades.  Cabins sang and danced to three different songs that our Israeli counselors have been putting together for a long time.  It was a great opportunity to show the rest of camp what Chalutzim does and to get more campers excited about Chalutzim in years to come.

Our Hebrew Olympics are almost at an end and the race is close between all of the Tzrifim (Cabins).  Everyone is trying to win it for their cabin so we hear Rak Ivrit (Only Hebrew) being spoken by the campers throughout the entire day.

I know that this week will be a great final one and all of the campers will return home with memories that will last a lifetime.

Micah Brandhandler is the Sgan Rosh Eidah (Assistant Unit Head) of Chalutzim. He will be a senior at the University of Illinois this fall.
