Last week in Moshavah was full of excitement and even a little bit crazy!  Everyone departed on their tiyulim (trips) on Monday morning.  Most of the trips went off without a hitch, but the canoers returned to camp Tuesday afternoon after a bad storm on the Wisconsin River.  We made sure to make the most out of our extra days at camp by experiencing all of the fun things that OSRUI has to offer!  We continued to cook our own tiyul food in our mitbach (kitchen) and we even had the opportunity to go on a slip and slide and make root beer floats. All of the chanichim (campers) who stayed at camp for those few days are even more eager to go on our next tiyul.

On Thursday, Moshavah did an excellent job performing in FestiKayitz and it was so great to see how every eidah (unit) came together to celebrate Israel.  We are looking forward to a great week in camp, with many all-camp events approaching.  We can’t wait to find out what the Oconomostock theme is!

Lizzy Scheinkopf is the Rosh Eidah (Unit Head) of Moshavah. This is her sixth year on staff at OSRUI and second summer as Moshavah Rosh Eidah. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
