By Elana Gordon, Moshavah Rosh Eidah

Life in Moshavah continues to be delightful and chock-full of exciting happenings.  We just returned from our third and final tiyul.  Per typical, our explorations at Devil’s Lake State Park, the Black River, the Glacial Drumlin State Trail, and Kettle Moraine State Forest heightened our connections to the local landscape and our ever more tight-knit community.

Back at camp, we’ve been engaging in lively and controversial discussions in Limudim that make us think critically about our stewardship of the earth; Mosh campers took a stand during our Eating Jewishly Debate in which the values and ethics of kashrut and vegetarianism were put to the test.  With the guidance of our fantastic faculty members Rabbi Dan Danson and Mike Shadick, Mosh campers put aside their preconceptions and asked all the right questions.

We’re all looking forward to Festikayitz tonight.  This festive talent show features acts in Hebrew or related to Israeli culture.  We are looking forward to all the talented acts.

How did this fabulous session reach its final week so fast?! Moshavah Aleph has been amazing and I look forward to our last Shabbat together.
