We have had two great weeks so far in Moshavah! We spent our first week getting settled into our tents, reconnecting with old friends, creating new ones, and preparing for our first tiyul. The week was packed with all kinds of camp activities ranging from sailing on Lac la Belle to climbing the Alpine tower. The weather was hot, but we cooled off with a day of water when we had a slip-and-slide, extended pool-time, mud ga-ga at sports, and chilled out in the air-conditioning for m’nucha.

In Limudim, we are exploring Israel as it turns 65. We heard from a founder of Kibbutz Lotan, a Kibbutz that is on the forefront of alternative building and agriculture, who explained to us life on a traditional Israeli Kibbutz and ways we can reduce our destructive impact on the earth (something we value in Moshavah!).

We spent our second week on Tiyul! We said our goodbye’s to OSRUI as we headed out to climb at Devil’s Lake, canoe on the Wisconsin River, Bike the Elroy-Sparta Trail, and Hike along the Ice Age Trail. Four days in teva was just what we needed! We pushed ourselves physically and mentally, and returned to camp stronger, more confident, and a little smelly. While we are excited to be back at camp for a full week, we cannot wait to head back out on tiyul!
