We have had an exciting two weeks in Tzofim!  Our Limud theme this session is Kehillah Kedosha, holy community. With the help of Captain Kehillah, the chanichim are learning what it means to be a part of a community and how important it is for each of us to be supportive of others. It has been wonderful to see the chanichim work together to overcome challenges and problem solve various situations.  They have come to these sessions with great enthusiasm due to the leadership of their wonderful madrichim, who also helped them lead inspiring services.

Each va’ad (committee), has the opportunity to lead t’fillah for the rest of the unit. They pick their own theme and write pieces that are relevant to these themes and the prayers of the morning or evening service. Thus far, chanichim have chosen to teach about nature, love, new beginnings, and their connection to OSRUI. Each service has helped the rest of the unit learn and grow. I have greatly enjoyed working with chanichim and madrichim on both of these endeavors.

As a first-time faculty member, the madrichim and chanichim have welcomed me into the eidah with open arms. They have taught me the traditions of Tzofim and made me feel comfortable. I have been impressed by their ruach as they sing and cheer throughout the day. I am looking forward to a Shabbat of rest with these incredible chanichim and madrichim.
