I can’t believe Tzofim Gimmel is here! The session has gotten off to a great start. In this past week we have started learning about Israel as our Limud topic. We have been learning trivia questions about Israel and our chanichim (campers) are very knowledgeable.

We are also getting ready for Oconomostock!  Oconomostock (or O-stock for short) is an all-camp talent show put on by Tzofim.  Our campers act, sing, and dance throughout the show, while chanichim from other eidot (units) get the opportunity to share their talents as well.  Each year, the show is themed (but don’t ask what it is…it’s a secret until showtime!).  The campers have been hard at work preparing for Oconomostock which takes place in ONE WEEK! We have been learning songs and been practicing the script. We can’t wait to perform for the whole camp!

In this upcoming week we have lots of fun evening programs. Last night, we had a sandwich-making contest where groups of chanichim created sandwiches and they were judged on name, appearance, organization, and taste. The campers and staff had a blast! This week we have erev sports (sports night) and erev ohel (tent night). Erev ohel will be a great time for the chanichim to bond with their tent-mates and participate in fun activities planned by their madrichim (counselors).

It’s amazing that we are already a week into the session, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the session has in store for us!
