image2We have had a fantastic week in Moshavah! This week is always the longest period of time that we get to spend in-camp, so we take full advantage of all the fun that camp has to offer. Beyond our regularly scheduled activities, there were several special events that took place this week.

On Monday, we had a blast cheering on Maddy F., Josie E., and Ethan S. as they performed in Oconomostock. The rest of the Moshavah chanichim (campers) sported their best togas — our official outfit for all-camp events. It’s incredible to see how much ruach (spirit) our chanichim have!

On Tuesday, we enjoyed erev ohel (tent night). Each ohel spent time bonding and doing a special activity, planned by their madrichim (counselors). Some of these special activities included cooking macaroni & cheese on Jerry’s beach, riding bikes to eat gelato, pulling a prank on Chalutzim, tie dyeing t-shirts, making trick-shot videos at the pool, celebrating an “un-birthday” party, and making dessert quesadillas on the fire.

The heat didn’t stop us from having some fun in the sun on Wednesday afternoon. We put on our swimsuits and headed down to the pool for a pool party with ice cream sundaes and music. The chanichim had a great time playing knock-out basketball and racing each other down the water slides.

The main event of the week was Thursday’s Maccabiah Games! The red, blue, yellow, and green teams competed against each other in various sporting events and art creations, with the blue team winning the championship at the end.

Now we are looking forward to another restful Shabbat before we head out on our final tiyul! Stay tuned for some tiyul reflections when we return next week!
