We cannot believe that Mosh Bet 2015 is already coming to an end! We had an amazing time on our tiyulim (trips) this past week and below, several chanichim (campers) reflect on the experiences they had on their final tiyul.

“Biking was a super fun trip. I was able to experience many beautiful (and scary) tunnels along with total teva (nature) moments galore. Each day felt like a new adventure. Many moments on this trip will definitely be used as stories later in my life. For example, the three snakes we encountered, or the parks we stayed in at night. By the end of the trip there were so many memories made that I couldn’t write them all out on paper. The only other thing to say is that we crossed 93 total bridges (we counted)!” – Molly F.

3244“I recently went on a rock climbing trip with 21 other kids and 7 amazing counselors. Thanks to all of the support I was given from everyone on the trip, I could get over my fear of heights. I felt safe climbing above the trees and thoroughly enjoyed discovering hidden caves in rocks. Not only was the view beautiful, but I felt more connected to nature. I got the chance to meet amazing kids and left the trip with new friends. I am so thankful for all these amazing memories and the friendships will last a lifetime.” – Emma S.

“This past week, I went on the hiking trip. I was worried about how the trip would turn out, but our two incredible counselors went out of their way to make the trip one of my favorites. Our small group of only 7 campers bonded so much and I was able to strengthen friendships while also making new ones. I had heard from past Mosh campers that the hiking trip is the best for bonding, but I didn’t know it was true until I looked back on the trip and realized how close we had all become. I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t come into the trip with the best attitude, but I’m extremely proud and happy to say that I left the trip with an entirely new positive attitude on hiking.” – Hannah S.

“The canoeing trip was a lot of fun. The first day the wind was so strong that it changed the flow of the river in the opposite direction! We canoed a lot over the course of the four days — like 7, 7.5 miles! One of my favorite parts of the trips is getting to be in the teva. On two of the nights I got to sleep outside. It was so pretty and I loved being able to see the stars so clearly.” – Amanya M.

“Over the past four days, a group of eight campers and two counselors hiked through the rigorous Ice Age Trail. They stopped at campsites to rest before hiking through the Kettle Moraine Forest. At the campsites, they spent their time preparing meals, making a fire, playing cards, and doing so much more. They overcame hardships such as the inclement weather and the struggle to put forth the effort of hiking through the buggy trails, by working as a team. By the end of the trip, the group had bonded over the amazing time that they had shared together.” – Jake A.
