Our Avodah Aleph participant Jacob B. made an incredible video documenting shavuah hachanah (staff week).

“This is my first year on staff at OSRUI, the camp I’ve been attending since I was 8, and there were many changes. The most obvious of those changes was my participation in staff week. Staff week is the week before campers arrive when all staff members, old or new, get camp orientation. How to handle certain situations, Dos and Don’ts, CPR training, and where things are in camp while also having a lot of fun meeting the other staff members. Though I have no campers as a member of Avodah, I still attended all of the discussions about campers. Staff week made me realize that the counselors I looked up to as a camper put so much effort into being the amazing role models they are. This video is staff week from my eyes, beginning with my arrival to camp, and ending with the arrival of campers. I hope you enjoy!”
