So what is the FESTIKAITZ you are probably asking yourself?

I’ll tell you! Festikaitz is the big program that Chalutzim leads for the rest of camp to teach about everyone Israel, about its geography, history, and culture.

This time, we hosted an all camp amazing race around camp to various “cities” in Israel that will help teach the chanichim (campers) a little bit more about Israel in a really fun and cool way!

So how does competition goes?

Every unit split into groups based on color, each group led by a chanich or chanicha from Chalutzim.

Everyone competed against themselves.

They started at Mount Hermon and had to do a fun mission to get the clue for the next station. Every station represented a city or a great place to visit in Israel.

When they got to the station they learned about the place and did a mission that related to it. When the people who run the station agreed that they did it correctly- the give the group a clue which sent them to their next destination

The stations were situated from north to south in Israel

By the end of the program almost all the chanichim did most of the stations and learned a lot about Israel and its many amazing destinations!

I know my chanichim had a great time running the stations and feel like they are leaders!
