It’s been an exciting week in Moshavah and we just returned from our first tiyul! It was a rainy week, but all the chanichim and madrichim made the best of each moment and learned to embrace it. We started our chugim, led beautiful services both in our beit t’filah and down at the lake, and we got to spend a fun-filled night singing folk songs with Kibbutz HaTzofim! All the chanichim were divided onto their trips and on Sunday they ventured into various beautiful locations around Wisconsin. Luckily the rain wasn’t bad and everyone had an incredible time biking, hiking, canoeing or rock climbing!

Below, several of our chanichim reflect on their first tiyulim.

“Rock climbing was beautiful! Everyone who does it should really take their time and take every moment in. It’s a once in a lifetime experience! Expect the unexpected when out on tiyulim!” Jordyn Jaffe, Rock Climbing

“Biking was a new and super cool experience! It was something I never would get to do outside of camp and I am so glad I could get to do it with my friends. Beating big hills and doing things that I didn’t think I could accomplish will stay with me forever and will be one of my favorite parts of camp!” Corey Rudman, Biking

“Hiking was an amazing bonding experience for those who went on it. We had a lot of fun and saw some really beautiful teva. Going on hiking made me super excited for the new two trips!” Nathan Frewen, Hiking

“Caneoing was AMAZING! The teva was terrific and just being outside and being out on our canoes was spectacular. I loved being out on the water and seeing the black river.” Jordyn Ackerman, Canoeing
