by Lily Booker, Moshavah Rosh Eidah (Unit Head)

Mosh hasn’t left for our first tiyul (trip) yet, but we are having the best time at camp! Despite some rain, we’ve been having a great time learning how to strengthen our community in Limudim (daily Jewish learning), we started our chugim (daily activities) and have enjoyed playing in our agam (lake) and breicha (pool)! We are also getting excited for Shabbat, when we get to be with the rest of camp, to sing at Shabbat Shira (Shabbat song session) and dance at rikud (dance session).

But, we are most excited for our FIRST TIYUL this Sunday! Some of us will be on rock climbing, some on canoeing and some on biking! We are having a Mosh gear/trip orientation on Saturday night to prepare ourselves. We will learn how to pitch a tent, how to Leave No Trace, and how to make the trip the most memorable it can be! The very experienced and well-prepared madrichim (counselors) are eager to help our amazing group of chanichim (campers) in Mosh learn how to love and appreciate the teva (nature) in a new way. Out on these trips we try to really emphasize the importance of Leave No Trace and Judaism in relation to the beautiful world we live in. We cannot wait to embark out on our first trip together and come back with new memories that will last us a lifetime!
