Introducing Our 2026 Rashei Eidot (Unit Heads)

We are so excited to introduce our 2026 Rashei Eidot (Unit Heads) who are part of our Mazkirut (Leadership Team)! This team is comprised of staff members who help oversee each of the units, the specialty areas, and other important spaces of camp.

Becca Irgang, Kallah

Becca is counting down the days until camp to spend another amazing summer in Kallah and be the Rosh Eidah this summer! This will be Becca’s 13th summer at camp, and her 5th summer on staff. She is currently a senior at Illinois State University majoring in Elementary Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. In her free time she loves traveling, going on walks outside (especially with her three dogs), trying out new beverage recipes at her job as a barista, and spending quality time with her family and friends! Becca is excited to spend her eighth summer in Kallah painting faces on Fridays, singing with the whole camp during Shabbat Shira, and spending time at camp’s beautiful agam (lake). She is beyond excited to welcome back our returning chanichim (campers), and help our new chanichim fall in love with camp!

Lyla Prass, Kibbutz HaTzofim

Lyla is so excited to be returning to camp as the Rosh Eidah of Kibbutz HaTzofim for her 15th summer in Oconomowoc; 9 as a camper and 5 on staff so far! She grew up in Deerfield, Illinois, but spends her school year at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. There, she is a Senior studying Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language. When Lyla is not at camp or in class, she loves trying new coffee shops, traveling, going to musicals, and spending time in the teva (nature). She cannot wait to be back at camp celebrating Shabbat, hanging out in the gan (garden) and refet (farm), and building a kehila (community) that takes care of each other every day! Lyla can’t wait for the best summer yet, Kibbutz HaTzofim 2026!

Aaron Mogilner, Gesher

Aaron has spent a summer and a half on staff in Gesher, and one summer as a camper, so he is extremely excited to be the Rosh Eidah of his favorite unit on camp for what will be his 10th summer at OSRUI (and his 4th on staff)! He is a senior at The Ohio State University studying Computer Engineering. In his free time, he likes to cook, eat, play basketball, and spend time with family and friends. He is most exited to watch all of the chanichim (campers) grow as they explore their interests in our many different intensives!

Daryn Kaplan and Seve Zatzenbloom, Moshavah

Daryn is so excited for this summer in Mosh! This will be her 14th summer at camp and her 5th on Mosh staff. Daryn grew up in Evanston, Illinois, and is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh studying Religious Studies and Urban Studies. She loves playing guitar, rollerblading, hiking, and making trip oatmeal with WowButter, and she can’t wait to be back on Mosh Hill this summer.

Seve is so excited to be coming back to Camp for the 11th year as a Co-Rosh Eidah of Mosh! He grew up in Naperville, Illinois, and is a senior at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he studies Sociology and Anthropology. Seve loves to play board games, going on hikes and bike rides. He is excited for camp to get started and to see how chanichim (campers) will challenge themselves during trips. He can’t wait to meet everyone and have a great summer!

Noah Shapiro, Chalutzim

Noah can’t wait to be back in Oconomowoc this summer as the Rosh Eidah of Chalutzim! This is his 13th summer at camp, and his 4th summer speaking rak Ivrit (only Hebrew) in Chalutzim. Noah is originally from Deerfield, Illinois, but most of the time you can find him at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he is a senior. He currently serves as the co-president of GW’s Jewish Student Association and was a Nachshon Project Cohort 11 fellow. Noah loves to listen to music, try new foods, and sing as part of his competitive A Cappella group. He is so excited to build a kehila (community) and to speak Ivrit with his chanichim this summer! Yallah Chalutzim 2026!

Hannah Kobee Thompson, Avodah

Hannah Kobee Thompson is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She currently works in the Jewish community in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with youth aged two through 17 and she plans to attend rabbinical school in the next few years. This will be her third summer at camp and she is so excited to return to OSRUI as Rosh Avodah.

Stay tuned to meet more Mazkirut members in the coming weeks.
