We are happy to introduce the Rosh Eidah of Avodah, Beth Schuck!  Beth recently graduated from the University of Illinois, and will be attending the University of Illinois-Chicago in the fall to get her Master’s Degree in Social Work.  Check out this questionnaire to get to know Beth:

How many years have you been at camp?
This will be my 13th summer spent at OSRUI!!

What is your favorite meal at camp?
My favorite meal at camp is the Shabbat chicken, especially the chicken legs.

What is your favorite all-camp event?
My favorite all camp event is O-Stock, I always love the creative theme and the creative talents.

What is your favorite Shabbat afternoon lunch?
Shabbat afternoon is a great time at camp, aside from loving all camp Israeli dancing, my favorite lunch buffet is bar/bat mitzvah.

What is your favorite aquatic activity?
Even though I do love the pool, my favorite aquatic activity is tubing!

What is your favorite Yom Day (themed days)?
My favorite Yom day is Yom Mishugana (clash day), I love dressing crazy and always bring great accessories to camp.

What is your best camp memory?
There are really too many to choose from, one of them was in Mosh bet on the canoeing trip. My canoe partner and I were holding onto the rope for the group. We decided to tie our canoe to our friend’s canoe and make a four person canoe. We then got to travel down the river and the four of us were singing songs and laughing all the way to our campsite for the night.

Beth is so excited to get to know the Avodahnicks and to work with them at making camp run smoothly.  It’s going to be the best summer yet!
