By Libby Fisher, Rosh Eidah of Kallah

The week has been jam-packed with fun activities in Kallah! On Thursday, we said l’hitraot (see you later) to Tour La’Agam, and then celebrated our first yom day (themed day). It was Yom Pajamas, and our tochnit erev (evening program) was making music videos and forts. We recorded the videos and they will be featured in our end of session beit café (talent show). The next day we had Yom Hawaii, where everyone dressed in their best Hawaiian gear, and we had a pool party! After that we celebrated our first Shabbat together, and Kallah had a great time participating in Shabbat Shira (an all-camp song session).

This week Kallah also did a program with Gesher, in which Kallah chanichim (campers) were matched up with Gesher chanichim in order to form connections and learn what it is like to be an older chanich or chanicha at camp. We also saw Tzofim’s Caravan, the invitation to audition for Oconomostock (an all-camp talent show happening next week), and many Kallah chanichim are planning on auditioning! Today, everyone tie-dyed in celebration of Yom Rainbow, and we also had Erev Tzrif (cabin night), where each tzrif gets to do their own fun activity, including campfires, card games, and even superhero night!

With so much that has happened already, I can’t believe there is still more to come! Coming up this week, Kallah will be doing a group program with Tzofim and also celebrating Yom McDonald Had A Farm. We will go on hayrides, make animal masks, and even create our own farmer’s market. This is all in preparation for a special field trip later in the week. But more about that later!

I can’t wait for the rest of the week in Kallah!
