By Lizzy Scheinkopf, Rosh Eidah of Moshavah

We have only been at camp for three days but Moshavah Aleph is already off to a fantastic start!  It is clear that our chanichim (campers) are thrilled to be here and the madrichim (counselors) have planned some fantastic activities for all to enjoy.

Yesterday, we basked in the beautiful sunshine as we enjoyed all of our daily activities: limudim (study), chugim (electives), sports, Ivrit (Hebrew), and swimming. During Ivrit, the chanichim played fun games to get to know each other while practicing the language. Our fabulous rabbis introduced our limud theme, “Tending the Garden” and we had the chance to build mini fires using sticks and branches found around Mosh. Last night, we learned about all of our tiyulim (trips) during tiyul orientation, and we practiced setting up tents and putting on hiking packs. Today, we continued preparing for tiyulim with canoe orientation. We are excited for tonight’s tochnit erev (evening program) at the Sports Center.

We are looking forward to the rest of the week in Moshavah as we get ready to leave on our first tiyul. Stay tuned for our next blog post, which will feature some reflections from the tiyulim!
