By Lizzy Scheinkopf, Rosh Eidah of Moshavah

It’s hard to believe that we are ending our final week in Moshavah Aleph 2015! All of the chanichim (campers) had a great time on our last tiyul (trip) of the session and are already planning the tiyulim that they want to try next year when they return to Moshavah. The tzevet (staff) has raved about how great the chanichim were on tiyulim and many of the tzevet have commented on how impressed they were with the spirit and determination of the chanichim. We will be very sad to see them all leave on Sunday!

Since returning from our tiyul, we have been very busy, enjoying all of the fun programming that camp has to offer. On Thursday, we had a blast participating in Yom Yisrael and Festikayitz with the rest of camp. Moshavah chanichim were able to practice their Ivrit (Hebrew) and learn more about Israeli culture and history, through special activities created by the mishlachat (Israeli counselors) and Chalutzim chanichim. The Moshavah chanichim particularly enjoyed the activities planned by the Chalutzim chanichim, who served as role models for the entire camp.

On Friday afternoon, we met David Solomon, Assistant Principal for the NFTY-EIE program in Israel, who spoke with our chanichim about opportunities for studying abroad in Israel. David spent some time eating lunch with us in Moshavah so that the chanichim could ask questions and learn more about EIE.

All of Moshavah is excited for our last few days in camp, during which time we will celebrate Shabbat together and end the session with our Mosh  (talent show). It has been such an amazing four weeks together and we hope that all of the chanichim enjoy the rest of their summer, while always remembering the fantastic memories they made in Moshavah Aleph 2015!
