Week two in Moshavah has gotten off to a great start. The announcement of the trips on which we will be embarking brought a flurry of preparation and nervous excitement. We spent some time practicing properly packing a hiking pack and safely getting it onto our backs. We learned efficient canoeing strokes to help us turn as well as to stay straight. We packed up our saddle bags for biking and got our helmets and harnesses ready to climb.
Through our limudim topic of brit (covenenant) and k’hilah (community), we have discussed how important trust and optimism are on our trips. We are all now on the same page about the encouragement and support that we will provide each other in the coming days.
As we load up the buses tomorrow morning, we will all be looking forward to challenging ourselves, making new friends, and gaining fantastic and exciting experiences. We will have many great stories to share when we return in a few days!
