Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!

Oh, The Places You Will Go

Summer is coming and before you know it you’ll be dropping off your children at Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute! But how- oh how– will you get there?

There are 3 ways to get to camp: by car, by coach bus, or by airplane. You’ll have to decide what works best for you and your family, and whatever you decide, you need to communicate that to us! That’s why the Transportation Form is so important. You must fill out the Transportation Form for your camper, even if you are driving them to camp.

Read below to learn a bit more about each mode of Transportation to and from camp!

Travelling to Camp By Car

If you live close to camp or want a road trip out of the camp travel experience, car transportation is perfect! On the opening and closing days, we use a schedule based on last names to coordinate drop-off/pick-up times and alleviate long lines and congestion. Sometimes you might be bringing or picking up campers that have different last names. That’s ok! You can choose either time slot if you fall into this category.

Travelling to Camp By Bus

Sometimes it’s easier to drop off closer to home than driving all the way to camp. That’s where bus transportation is the perfect mode of travel. OSRUI charters coach buses to bring campers from various locations to and from camp. The charge for bus service is an additional cost that will automatically apply once you fill out the Transportation Form. Each bus is priced at a one-way cost as some campers take the bus one way and get driven the other way. Buses depart on a predetermined schedule. Always plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Travelling to Camp By Airplane

We have campers coming from a lot of places, and some families need to get to camp in a plane. When booking flights, it’s important to note that we do have certain requirements and preferences about where to fly and when. These preferences are communicated on the form when you fill it out. When you list your camper’s flight information on their Transportation Form, we always make sure a staff member takes them to and/or from the gate for departure/arrival.

Travel Changes and Updates – You must let us know via email at osrui@urj.org about any change in travel arrangements. If your child arrives or departs anytime other than the opening or closing day you must complete the appropriate form on your CampInTouch Dashboard.

There are 2 ways to fill out the Transportation Form: Through the CampInTouch Forms Dashboard or through the Campanion App. You can read about these applications in our First Camp Countdown Blog Post. They are also linked below!

Note: You will need to sign in on the app with your CampInTouch username and password. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it from a computer.
